Breaktime Bible Study: An Eternal View
An Eternal View
Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. Psalm 45:6
Just when we may begin to lose hope, the Psalmist reminds us that the throne God sits on will last forever. He brings it back to the eternal God for the scepter God is holding is one of justice, and He will rule forever.
The fantastic insight about God is He is watching over more than just today. He has in His sight eternity when He makes His call for justice. God can see the full picture from every angle, not only the past but the present and the future. We need eternal love to lead us and secure our joy, and there is no other place to look for everlasting contentment than our God.
There is no other throne which offers an eternal perspective. We can trust Him without suspicion because there is no error in His ways. We can believe what He says and walk-in daily hope, surrendering to His ways. The judgments of God are always right and fair. There is no wrong in His ways so we can fully trust our will to His ways. Not my will, but Yours be done, Lord!!
