A Mighty Word
Gird your sword on your side, you mighty one; clothe yourself with splendor and majesty. Psalm 45:3
The Lord is powerful, and His weapon is the mighty words He speaks among us. Creation came into existence because of the words God spoke. One word from the Lord can change any circumstance, and the Psalmist understood the power of the sword.
Words are a powerful force in our everyday encounters as we face many words flying from our phones, computer screens, T.V, and each other. Words have the power to insult and encourage all in the same sentence and.they are used many times as a weapon. But just imagine if we used all of them to uplift and strengthen each other.
And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:17
Imagine then, absorbing ourselves in the Word of God to the actual place where Gods word begins to speak through us. The Word becomes the influence behind our thoughts and heart; therefore, what comes out of us is powerful. Jesus used the words the Father had given Him to influence the culture of the day and His Words still speak through us today.
