“He parted the heavens and came down; dark clouds were under his feet.” Psalm 18:9
What an image David had of God. His vision included God parting the heavens and coming down. Could it be, David saw the Lord praying in action?
“Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10
When Jesus asked us to pray, it included His Kingdom coming here on earth. It included heaven opening and God’s will being spilled out hear in front of us. It included God’s involvement with His people in His power. Jesus, the one who taught us to pray, asked for heaven to open and God to lean into all of life. When heaven opens, God bends down.
Think how different life would be if heaven opened and poured into our life. Think of God’s kingdom advancing in our life and the obstacles being overcome through faith. Even if the obstacles are not removed, we are courageously walking through them in His Kingdom empowerment. We no longer bow to the normal but rise in the kingdom of God. We no longer submit to the Kingdom of this world for we overcome through His Kingdom. There is no normal living in His Kingdom, and we are invited each day to participate.
Today in the workplace:
Are you a Kingdom advancer?
