”He mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared on the wings of the wind.” Psalm 18:10
David’s vision of the Lord during his hardships carried him through. His eyes went heavenward when evil was pressing in on him. When he felt the pain of this world, his heart went searching for answers. His solution landed in the vision of His Lord. He knew he was going to be okay, because God was in control. There was nothing David’s God could not do, and God was overall.
Most of the time anxiousness derives when we try to control things. Our day becomes determined by what we can control, and so we lose sight of who God is when we step in and try to take over. This hostile takeover only ends up being a short-sighted vision. When we decide what we do is based on if we can control it, we have lost vision.
Especially in the hardships of life, we need to lose control and look up. The insight David had was caused from him releasing his control and searching out the Lord’s power. When we see God overseeing us, we now realize we are in a good place.
