Educators working with kindergarten through 12th grade and others interested in environmental education are welcome to register for a free workshop held at the Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge. This workshop will be held on Wednesday, June 13 and Thursday, June 14, from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. In addition to learning about Iowa’s native tallgrass prairie and wildlife, you will learn how to integrate curriculum into outdoor learning activities, use the refuge’s lesson plans and equipment, and access nature based technology and resources. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive priority field trip scheduling, planning support, ready to use curriculum and resource materials.
