IGNITE Youth Group of the First Christian Reformed Church in Oskaloosa is looking forward to a June trip to Hattiesburg, Mississippi with World Renew Disaster Response Services to address flood damage from March of 2016. To help fund their trip they will be sponsoring a Pancake Breakfast on Memorial Day, May 28 from 7 to 10 am. The community is invited to enjoy a breakfast of pancakes, sausages, cinnamon rolls, fruit and drink. An opportunity to give a free-will offering will be presented. First Christian Reformed Church is located at 815 N 11th Street, just south of Forest Cemetery where morning festivities will also be held for the community. Plan now to take in both events.
The group’s name “IGNITE” is based on 2 Timothy 1:6, “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you.” It is the hope of the group that they may use their gifts in Hattiesburg and that the folks there will feel the love of Jesus.
